DIGITAL & FILM
Film photography is the traditional analog process of capturing images on light-sensitive 35mm film rather than a digital sensor. Using an analog camera, light creates an image on each frame that is carefully developed through a chemical process to reveal the final photograph. There is no instant preview, no retakes, and no shortcuts. To me, it's the most intentional form of photography and the results simply cannot be beat.
What is film?
Film adds a layer of depth, nostalgia, and honesty that is difficult to recreate. Choosing to add film means slowing down, leaning into the moment, and preserving your story in a way that feels timeless. Plus, the colors you'll get from your images are incredible!

Joni has a gift. My girlfriend and I were fresh in our relationship only just blossoming, and Joni was merely a stranger, but she made it so easy to be comfortable in our own skin and not feel any sort of guilt for bringing a jacket I only wore for the last 10 minutes (of which she draped over her arm the whole shoot)
She took her time with the detail but somehow all at once was QUICK and FUN and UNIQUE and RELATABLE. Her response time was lightning fast, and she was in every way a delight to work with. We have already talked about booking her for our wedding photos…

You can trust that Joni will be patient with and caring of your family members and guests if you hire her because she was with ours.
Joni was very communicative and punctual and made sure to ask several amplifying questions that even ended up helping us plan our own wedding more efficiently and helped us avoid some stress. If all this wasn't enough, the pictures were fabulous. Everyone I've shown them to thinks they're gorgeous, you would not believe the "ooohs" and "aaaahhs" and various delighted sounds I've received around my workplace showing them to my coworkers, ditto for my family members.
