Hey I'm Joni
Long before I picked up a camera, I was drawn
to storytelling. I loved escaping into worlds through books, movies, and TV shows and became obsessed with how creativity made me feel. Today, I use photography to tell stories in a way that feels natural and effortless.
My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to just be yourself, so we can capture what really matters: connection, emotion, and the story only you can tell.

THE STORIES I TELL:
I found Joni through pure happenstance on tiktok and I fell in love with her photos. We had the utmost privilege of having our first ever couples photos shot by her for our college graduation and beach shoot. She was so beyond kind, professional, and talented.
My boyfriend and I are both awkward and introverted and by no means meant to be on the camera, but she made it so easy with posing and prompts. One of the things I told her during the shoot immediately was that she needed to increase her prices, because for someone with her level of skill and talent and joy there is no number you can put on that, any amount would be worth it.
I’ve never photographed well or liked how I look in photos, but I felt so beautiful through Joni’s lens. It’s been almost a year since our shoot and the photos are still our favorite photos we have together and I use every excuse possible to share them. If you’re thinking about booking her, don’t give it a second thought, it could not be any more worth it. We cannot wait to have the chance to be photographed by Joni again!

I reached out to Joni last year when a video of her photography work appeared on my social media feed while I was scrolling! Her video definitely reached her target audience, because I was immediately intrigued by her cinematic photography style.
Dean and I did a photoshoot with our dog, Ichiro, during golden hour at the Del Mar Coastal Trail in San Diego. We don’t normally do photoshoots so we initially felt kind of shy and awkward, but Joni made the entire experience feel so natural and fun. We received sneak peaks of our gallery within 24 hours, and then our full gallery within a week!
The photos and memories Joni created for us truly exceeded our expectations. She’s incredibly talented and so genuine. We will 100% book a photoshoot with her again in the future :) <3

My godsister and I scheduled our graduation shoot together with her and right off the bat she was kind, considerate, and so attentive to each and every small detail we wanted to include in our shoot (even ones we didn’t even consider!). I truly couldn’t ask for more “Pinterest-worthy” grad photos.

I seriously can’t stop smiling every time I look at the photos from our shoot with Joni. We did a dreamy little bookstore/café shoot and it felt like something straight out of a rom-com — soft, cozy, and full of charm.
From the very beginning, Joni was so proactive and thoughtful. She helped us scout out the perfect location and gave us a ton of amazing options to choose from. She was flexible and totally willing to adjust plans to make sure everything felt just right for us.
During the shoot, she made us feel completely at ease. My boyfriend and I are both pretty introverted and usually feel awkward in front of a camera, but somehow, it felt like she was just quietly peeking into our date, capturing some beautiful moments.
